Pawan Kalyan Shares Why ‘Sardaar Gabbar Singh’ Was Shot In Ratanpur

Pawan Kalyan will be returning as Gabbar Singh in his upcoming film ‘Sardaar Gabbar Singh’. The fans are excited to see the villainous and heroic cop on the big screen one more time. The film will hit the theatre screens on April 8 and the team is currently gearing up for the release.

The K. S. Ravindra directorial is set in the background of Ratanpur, a place situated in Chhattisgarh. The Atharintiki Daaredi actor shared why he chose Ratanpur for the flick and said, "Ratanpur, where this film is based, does exist. Before I entered films, I had been there. At that time, it was a part of Madhya Pradesh and not Chattisgarh as it is now. I fell in love with it and over the years it has stayed in my memory. I just like the cultural fusion that it offers".

He added that the question that persuaded him to write the story of the action-entertainer was "What would happen if a boy from one of these places falls for a girl from one of the neighbouring areas?”. It will be exciting to see how the actor fights for his love, played by Kajal Aggarwal. The film will feature Sharad Kelkar as the antagonist and will have music by Devi Sri Prasad.
