Prakash Raj Says ‘I Will Continue Directing’

Prakash Raj Says ‘I Will Continue Directing’

The versatile south cinema star, Prakash Raj, has recently taken up direction. After proving his mettle as an actor, Raj is planning to keep polishing his directorial skills. Two ventures helmed by Prakash are already lined up. It seems that he is thoroughly enjoying this new trade.

Prakash says, “I feel I had reached a comfortable zone as an actor, and so I took up directing. However, I make what I feel and like, and not what others do. The first two films didn’t do well commercially, but I do not feel bad, and I will continue directing.”

In a career spanning over three decades, Prakash has directed two films only. The 2010 Kannada film ‘Naanu Nanna Kanasu’ and 2012 Kollywood flick ‘Dhoni’ were helmed by Prakash. None of these were a trade hit. His upcoming directorial work can be witnessed in an impending bilingual ‘Mana Oori Ramayanam’, which is the remake of a 2012 Malayalam film ‘Shutter’.

Desimartini wishes the ambitious man, Prakash Raj, all the best for this new undertaking.
