Rajinikanth: Stardom Is The Result Of An Opportunity, Not An Individual

Superstar Rajinikanth visited Hyderabad to promote his upcoming film 'Kaala' which is right now attracting the controversies. The superstar also paid tribute to the legendary actor and former Andhra Pradesh (erstwhile) chief minister NT Rama Rao. The actor talked about his movie and all other characters that are an important part of the movie directed by Pa Ranjith.

He is playing the role of a slumlord based in Mumbai's Dharavi in the film. During his visit to Hyderabad, Rajinikanth recounted his days and said, “During the early days of my career, I used to come and seek blessings of NTR. I miss him a lot these days. There are a lot of people who speak about superstardom but I'd like to say that it's not about any individual - it's about the opportunity. In any field, when an opportunity arises, one mustn't let it go”.

While not speaking much about the story of the film, Rajini said that the film has a powerful message attached to it. He added that the film is set in the backdrop of Dharavi slum, which is the largest slum in Asia and it deals with characters living inside this slum and tells the story of how it affects people's lives. Usually, in his films, only the hero's character is of importance and the others may not be as significant but in ‘Kaala’, there are at least six characters that will have a huge impact and will stay with the audience even after the movie. ‘Kaala’ is all set to hit the screens on June 7.
