Rana Daggubati To Star In Telugu Remake Of Diljit Dosanjh’s Sardaar Ji 2?

Speculations are rife that Diljit Dosanjh starrer Sardaar Ji 2, one of the most anticipated movie of the year, will be remade in Telugu and acclaimed actor-producer Rana Daggubati has been roped in for the project. The flick is a sequel to Sardaar Ji (2015), which became the biggest ever opener in Punjabi cinema. Reportedly, renowned filmmaker Vasu Varma bought the rights of the movie from White Hill Production for its remake.

A team member of Sardaar Ji stated, "It is great to see Punjabi cinema grow these days and the way they are making movies, is taking it to another level. If a director wishes to make a remake of a Punjabi film is a great achievement in its own". The second iteration will hit the screens on June 24.

Rana is also busy with India’s first Submarine-based War film, Ghazi. The filming for the movie began in January this year. Directed by Sankalp Reddy, the flick is being simultaneously made in Hindi and Telugu, and will be dubbed in Tamil.
