Regina Cassandra Went For A Drastic Makeover For Her Upcoming Film Awe

Actress Regina Cassandra will next be seen in director Prashanth Varma’s upcoming movie Awe. Since the actress plays a dark character, therefore she was required to get a complete makeover for her role in the film. The 29-year-old will be seen sporting funky braids, a nose-pin and several tattoos including a tree on her back and a slithering snake down a hand in the flick.

In an interview with the Deccan Chronicle, the actress said, “When director Prashanth narrated the story to me, I could visualise my role and was hell-bent on playing it. I knew that I had to go for a drastic makeover. I’m glad the look has surpassed expectations.”

About the makeover, she said, “It took the styling team more than 24 hours to get it right. My stylist Shanti, tattoo designer Mo and Vijay, did extensive research before zeroing in on this look. The makeover took place around the end of July, and it took a lot of effort to keep it a secret for so long! The most difficult part was to hide my look at public appearances (laughs). I couldn’t wait for my new look to be revealed.”

The Balakrishnudu actress has said that her role in the film is versatile with shades of grey. She also said that she loved playing the role and could feel the character every time she saw herself in the mirror.
