    The threat of theatre owners to boycott megastar Kamal Haasan's ambitious filmViswaroopamdue to its premiere on the DTH platform finally comes true. After a recent meeting, the 700 members of Tamil Nadu Theatre Owners Association and the Confederation of Theatre Owners and Distributor's Associations have announced that they will not release the movie in the state. However, they were very cautious in choosing words and have not named anyone in their resolution. It simply declared, "We will not release any film, irrespective of whichever language it is in, which is broadcast on the DTH platform. The distributors furthermore would not buy such films in the first place."

    Rama M Annamalai, the state president of the Theatre Owners Association, who was present in the meeting, confirmed the news, saying, they are still ready for a negotiated settlement with the actor. "But once the film is released on the DTH, as slated on January 10, then we will close all the doors for talks even if Kamal was ready for a negotiation," Annamalai added.
