Nag Ashwin basked in the success of his directorial debut Yevade Subramanyam that starred actor Nani. The director is back with a Telugu- Tamil bilingual movie, Mahanati, which is a biopic of a legendary South actress Savitiri. The makers were on a hunt for the leading ladies of the flick, but now they have zeroed in on actresses Samantha Ruth Prabhu and  Keerthy Suresh.

While we knew that actress Keerthy will play the central character of actress Savithri in the flick, the latest update about the movie has every detail about Samantha’s character. Reportedly, the Ye Maaya Chesave actress will be playing the character of a journalist. Prabhu’s character researches about Savithri in the movie.  It is being said that the story of Mahanati will be narrated by Samantha’s character.

Ashwin is working on the actress’ character to match perfection. The biopic is being hyped as one of its kind biopic in the history of film-making. Well, we hope the film is as blockbuster as his first directorial debut.
