Akhil took a long break to finalise his second flick after his first outing, as a lead actor, which released in 2015 under the direction of V. V. Vinayak. His next will be helmed by Vikram Kumar. The flick has been in the news from quite some time due to many reasons. However, the latest update about the movie will only excite his fans.

The actor recently took to Twitter to announce the release date of his upcoming flick. The news can be a treat to his fans that are waiting for his second flick with their bated breaths. The flick will hit the theatres on December 22. Yes, fans can enjoy the flick after five months.

The flick also features the daughter of filmmaker Priyadarshan and veteran actress Lissy, Kalyani Priyadarshan. Kalyani is a newbie and the makers wanted a newcomer for this role. Names of Bollywood actresses like Alia Bhatt and Shraddha Kapoor were doing the rounds for the female lead but we know who grabbed the role. Actor Ajay will pull off a grey character in the flick.
