Venkatesh Linked With ‘Piku’ Remake Once Again

Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan starrer ‘Piku’ released earlier this year and did a great business at the box office. The Shoojit Sircar directorial was liked by the audiences and was also appreciated by the critics. Few months back rumours were doing the rounds that Venkatesh will be seen in the Telugu remake of the flick. But there was no official confirmation and eventually the rumour died down.

Speculations are rife that his brother Suresh Babu is keen on acquiring the remake rights of the hit Bollywood film. Now once again Venkatesh is being linked with the Telugu version of ‘Piku’. A source close to the Daggubati family revealed, “Suresh Babu has approached the makers of Piku to seek the rights to remake the film in Telugu with Venkatesh in the lead. However, these talks are only in the initial stage and nothing has been finalised as of now”.

The Gopala Gopala actor has featured in lot of popular remakes which earned him the title of Remake King. If the reports are true and all goes well then he will be seen reprising the role of Superstar Amitabh Bachchan. It will also be interesting to see who will play the role of his daughter in the film.
