Venky Kudumula: Wanted To Make My Debut With Naga Shaurya

Venky Kudumula is going to mark his debut directorial with the upcoming film Chalo, which stars Naga Shaurya and Rashmika Mandanna . The debutant had earlier worked with prominent directors of the south film industry like Trivikram, Teja and Yogi. His film is set to hit theatres on February 2.

Talking about how he met Naga Shaurya and revealing his desire to cast Shaurya in his films, the director said, “I met Naga Shaurya while doing Jadoogadu and we became good friends. He wanted to introduce me as a director and even I wanted to make my debut with him”.

Moreover, he revealed that he got this break when he was asked by Naga Shaurya to come up with a story. Also talking about Rashmika, who plays the female lead character in this film, the director said that he was impressed with her performance in Kannada film Kirik Party. The director and Shaurya felt that she would be the best choice for the film.
