Vijay Deverakonda Wants To Take Up Versatile Roles

After the success of the 2017 Telugu film Arjun Reddy, other film industries have come up with the idea to remake the film. The film written and directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga starred Vijay Deverakonda , whose performance was critically acclaimed and loved by masses. However, latest news reveals that the Tamil version of the film is going to have a new face.

The actor is all set to replace Vijay with star actor Vikram’s son Dhruv, while the Hindi remake stars Shahid Kapoor in the lead role. When Vijay was asked about his replacement for the Tamil version, he said, “It’s the director’s call. Sandeep Vanga is a dear friend of mine. In fact, when I recently won my first Best Actor award for Arjun Reddy, it was Sandeep who gave a thank you speech on my behalf”.

He also expressed that it was not his priority to revisit Arjun Reddy’s character. He revealed that he doesn’t want to repeat roles but move on to play different characters and if he gets anything interesting going forward, he will take it up. He said, “I did what I had to do with Arjun. Going back to his complex problems would be really painful and repetitive for me”.
