Back in 2019, audiences got to witness one of the most successful seasons of Salman Khan’s popular reality show Bigg Boss. Season 13 garnered a huge fan following and viewership because of celebrity contestants like Sidharth Shukla, Asim Riaz and Shehnaaz Gill who won hearts with their personalities. The wild cards of that season were also great choices, especially Punjabi singer and Shehnaaz’s arch rival Himanshi Khurana . The beauty not only charmed the audiences but also left Asim falling head over heels in love with her.
Their love story began in Bigg Boss 13 and the two are inseparable till date. However, according to Himanshi’s latest interview, Asim is the only blessing that the reality show gave her. Recently on Sonam Bajwa’s chat show, Himanshi shared that she went into depression after stepping out of the Bigg Boss house because of all the negativity in the show. It took her two long years to come out of it and build her life all over again. In many ways, Himanshi feels she is still recovering.

The singer, who is fondly known as Punjab ki Aishwarya Rai, remembered, “I went into severe depression after Bigg Boss, which started affecting my heart. I used to get panic attacks before going to the events, shoots and while I was dancing at Afsana Khan's wedding, I got a heart issue, due to which I was rushed to the hospital. I was in the hospital, and only my close friends knew about it.” Well, being locked up in a house full of strangers, away from the real world and your well-wishers, can definitely take a toll on any individual.
The reality show is currently in its 16th season and even this year, there are some celebrities who are having a hard time coping. MC Stan was seen asking for a voluntary exit this week while Tina Datta will break down in front of Salman in tonight’s Weekend Ka Vaar episode. However, there are also many mentally and emotionally strong contestants this season who reminded fans of former winners Sidharth and Rubina Dilaik. We wish them all the best!
