Shark Tank India 2: Anupam Mittal opts out of joint offer with co-sharks; netizens wonder if he is 'being a little sidelined' this season

Shaadi.com co-founder Anupam Mittal has been one of the favourite judges and investors in the first season of Shark Tank India. The businessman gained immense popularity for his honesty, unique style, and chivalrous attitude on the show. But in the ongoing second season, netizens feel he is being cornered by other sharks. Even cracking a deal is getting harder for him this season.

In the last episode, Anupam got impressed with the pitchers who introduced their brand of hiring trained house help, cooks, babysitters, etc. He gave them the dream deal of Rs 80 lakhs for 2 percent equity which they asked for. Later, Namita Thapar, Aman Gupta and Peyush Bansal gave them a counteroffer of Rs 80 lakh for 3 percent. After which pitchers offered all four sharks Anupam, Peyush, Aman, and Namita to come onboard with Rs 2 crore for 5 percent. However, Anupam opted out of the joint offer and dropped the deal. And the founders finally signed Rs 1 crore for a 3 percent equity deal with Aman, Namita, and Peyush.

Well, this is not the first deal that Anupam had lost to other sharks. He has been turned down by founders as well as co-sharks for joint offers as tracked down by netizens. Hence, one of the users reacted, “Is it only me who feels @AnupamMittal sir is being a little sidelined in this season of Shark tank India?.. in the sense yaar he's giving great offers but they're just not appreciative of his value as an investor..” Another commented, “@AnupamMittal You are the most knowledgable Shark in #SharkTankIndiaS2 but don't you think you are cornered by other Sharks?” “Why is it getting hard for Anupam to get deals?” added another. Meanwhile, Anupam Mittal has a massive net worth of Rs 185 crore as per reports. He has investments in several start-ups like Ketto, PropTiger, Fab Hotels, and more. And in the ongoing Shark Tank India 2 , he is planning on expanding his portfolio.
