Exclusive: Ritwik Bhowmik opens up about when Bandish Bandits 2 will be shot

Ritwik Bhowmik had caused quite some stir with his performance in Bandish Bandits. Post its release, the audience had been crushing over Radhe and Tamanna and one of the most asked questions has been when the second season to the series will be coming out. Now, Ritwik Bhowmik, who played the character of Radhe, finally seems to have an answer!

In an exclusive chat, he opened up about what's next for him now, post the release of The Whistleblower. Talking about his upcoming projects, Ritwik said, "There's a lot lined up. Some are ready too- there would be a couple of releases also because a lot of projects are almost out of the pipeline now."

Without referring directly to Bandish Bandits 2, the actor added, "A few more will be shot this year, including a project that people had been waiting for." When we quizzed whether he is referring to Bandish Bandits 2, Ritwik maintained the air of mystery and said, "That's for me to know and you to find out."

We will be taking that for a yes. Bandish Bandits had released in August 2020 and had been received super well by the audiences. The actor was next seen in The Whistleblower as Dr. Sanket. The series released on SonyLiv and also starred actors like Sachin Khandekar, Ravi Kishan and Sonali Kulkarni . Ritwik also received positive feedback for his performance in The Whistleblower. Talking about the compliment that touched his heart the most, he said, "I have a relative of mine, a family friend who I treat as my older brother. He's a scientist but also really loves movies. He happened to watch the show and his opinion really matters to me. He didn't give me a review at first. All he did was send a message saying 'always do what you wanted to do. You turned into an extremely talented boy'. And it means a lot, because he has seen me for the past 20 years, he's seen me grow up, he's seen me be the person that I'm today. He had always known that I wanted to become an actor. He was one of the first few people who knew what I wanted to do in my life. So to hear this from him was an extremely emotional experience for me."
