Rakhi Sawant reveals Ritesh was approached for Lock Upp; slams ‘behen’ Kangana for taking a dig at Bigg Boss

When the trailer of Ekta Kapoor’s upcoming reality show Lock Upp was launched, many netizens compared it to Salman Khan ’s popular Bigg Boss house. While the latter has a new theme each season, Ekta’s show is like a celebrity jail and the jailer is actress turned host Kangana Ranaut . The first two ‘prisoners’ of this jail have already been introduced to fans on social media-- television actress Nisha Rawal and comedian Munawar Faruqui. Reports did suggest that Shehnaaz Gill has been offered the show, but no confirmation was shared. Well, Rakhi Sawant has now made an exciting revelation.

In a chat with the paparazzi, Rakhi revealed that her ex husband Ritesh has been approached for Kangana’s show. ETimes quoted her saying, “Mujhe offer nahi aaya...nahi offer aaya hai kahin pe, par meri baat shayad hui nahi hai unse. My husband Ritesh has got the offer...ex husband. Unko offer aaya hai...I don't know woh jayenge nahi jayenge, mujhe nahi pata hai (I have not got the offer, actually I had but I haven't been able to connect with him yet. My ex-husband has got the offer...I don't know if he will got or not).” She went on to add that if she received an offer, she might do it for Ekta but not for Kangana ‘didi’.

Sometime back during the launch of the reality show, Kangana had stated “Yeh aapke bhai ka ghar nahi hai” when Lock Upp was compared to Salman’s Bigg Boss. Reacting to the same, Rakhi had told Lehren that Kangana’s statement hurt her. The entertainment queen slammed Kangana by saying, “Mujhe bahut bura laga jab Kangana ne kaha, ‘Yeh tumhare bhai ka ghar nahi hai,' (I felt very bad when Kangana said 'it's not your brother's house'). Behen, suno, itne time se bhai hi show chala rahe hain. Tumme dum hai to ek show chala ke dikhao. I think Bhai me dum hai, behen me nahin hai (Listen sister, Bhai has been running the show for so long. If you have the guts, try running one show. I think Bhai has the guts, sister doesn’t).”

Meanwhile on the work front, Rakhi shared that she is currently working on losing weight, by performing 400-500 surya namaskars, to be fit to do a song with Salman.
