Ever since Huge Jackman's last outing as the iconic mutant Wolverine in the critically acclaimed Logan, the internet has been filled with rumors on which actor should replace him with a variety of fan picks for the role.

Now, it seems Halo star Pablo Schreiber has thrown his hat into the ring as well. The actor is known for his role in the hit series American Gods has been a fan favorite to replace Hugh Jackman.

The actor's brother Liev Schreibe played the role of Saber Tooth (Wolverine's brother) in X- Men Origins: Wolverine in 2009 and Pablo Schreiber is also a big fan of the character and in a recent interview expressed his interest to play the role.

Marvel Studios have been searching for an actor to play Wolverine for a while now and has talked with several actors but nothing is official. It can't be easy replacing Hugh Jackman and his iconic portrayal of the character which earned him an Oscar nomination for best actor.

With the X-Men being introduced into the MCU with the upcoming release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it won't be long before we hear something more official soon.

Pablo Schreiber would be a good pick as the actor is a fresh face and with the official announcement of Deadpool 3, it would be a perfect way to introduce the character into the MCU.

In the interview with Playlist Pablo Schreiber had this to say with fans casting him in the role, "That would be fantastic and would certainly be a dream casting. He’s actually my favorite hero from a child. He was always my favorite comic book, so yeah. I’ve had a long, long flirtation with that guy.”

He went on to talk about his several meeting with Marvel about the role, “I’ve had a bunch of discussions with Marvel at certain points in my career. We’ve never been able to find the right thing at the right time, but I’d certainly be open to that.”

The actor is currently promoting his upcoming sci-fi action series Halo based on the popular video game franchise in which he plays the lead, the rest of the cast includes Natascha McElhone, Yerin Ha, Charlie Murphy, Jen Taylor, Shabana Azmi , Bokeem Woodbine, Kate Kennedy, and Natasha Culzac.

Halo will stream on Paramount + on March 24, 2022
