Bigg Boss 15 was Ritesh's birthday gift to Rakhi Sawant, he had no plans of doing the show

One of the biggest and most exciting twists of Bigg Boss season 15 was Rakhi Sawant ’s mystery husband Ritesh ’s entry into the reality show. The actress had mentioned him several times in season 14, but nobody had ever seen him and accused her of lying. After stepping into the BB house, Ritesh often boasted of a high IQ and even slammed Rakhi each time she tried to talk to him about the game. But last weekend the audience voted him out. Salman Khan hinted that this was a result of his rude behavior towards Rakhi. Post his eviction, Ritesh claimed that it was all a part of his strategy.

Well, last year Rakhi had mentioned that her husband wants to stay away from the limelight. So what changed his mind this season? In a chat with Pinkvilla, Ritesh revealed, “It wasn’t planned. Basically I had just come from Belgium for Rakhi’s birthday on November 25th. So when I landed here, we came to know that she got an offer for Bigg Boss and as a birthday gift she asked me to come along with her on the show. I agreed to it as I was in Mumbai, and from the past two years people have been commenting saying that Rakhi is lying and that she hasn’t got married. But I didn’t like that, so that’s why I decided to go for it.”

After coming out of the BB house, Ritesh also opened up about his first wife Snigdha Priya, who claimed they are still married and accused him of domestic violence. Ritesh admitted that he is not divorced and revealed that Rakhi is not his legal wife. However, he announced that he will officially marry the actress as soon as he gets separated from his wife.
