Hunarbaaz: Karan Johar promises to set-up Parineeti Chopra with someone this year, says he's 'lucky for couples'

Karan Johar turned Matchmaker for his co-judge Parineeti Chopa while shooting for their talent hunt show Hunarbaaz. The actress who is single was promised by the filmmaker that he’d soon set her up with someone and flaunted his matchmaking skills.

“I am very lucky for couples. I have successfully done matchmaking,” Karan is heard telling Parineeti in a promotional video shared by the channel. The actress played along for a bit asking him why he never tried setting her up before this and he promised that she is next on his list adding, “Tumhara bhi issi saal hojayega pakka (You will be set up this year).

Bharti Singh who is hosting Hunarbaaz took things a step further asking Parineeti if she likes anyone from among the contestants on the show. Left embarrassed the Saina actress tried to shut the whole conversation down but got no respite.

A contestant was bold enough to ask Parineeti out saying he wanted to ‘establish a connection’ with her and got Karan’s full support as the filmmaker replied that she has been trying to set up a connection for some time now.

Meanwhile, Parineeti who was thoroughly embarrassed being caught in the hairs of this awkward conversation replied with a loud ‘Nahi!’ when Karan asked her on behalf of the contestant “Rishta pakka samjhe? (So should we consider it a yes from you?)”

The panel of judges for Hunarbaaz which airs on Colours also includes Mithun Chakraborty. The show is yet to hit TV screens but has already created a lot of buzz given it will be Parineeti’s debut on TV.
