Juhi Parmar vs Barbie: Why the actress is being trolled for taking a dig at the blockbuster hit

Actress Juhi Parmar is being brutally trolled for her latest post wherein she took a sharp dig at the Hollywood blockbuster film Barbie. The actress called it inappropriate for her 10-year-old daughter and said that she soon had to exit the theatre due to the alleged dialogues and sexual connotations. However, her post has been receiving a severe backlash now with many criticizing her for not understanding the context or message of the movie. Some netizens even questioned her for taking her daughter for the same.

Talking about the same, Juhi Parmar questioned the makers of Barbie writing the same with its theme of pink and white on why there were so many inappropriate scenes and dialogues for children. The Kukum- Ek Pyaara Sa Bandhan actress furthermore called out the makers for destroying the illusion of Barbie for her. She however admitted that she should have done proper research before taking her daughter for the same. Juhi said she was the first parent to leave the theatre within 10 to 15 minutes of the film after which there were some other parents who left the theatre too. Take a look at her post.

However, there were many netizens as well as celebs from the TV fraternity who did not take Juhi Parmar’s post well. TV producer Sandiip Sikcand stated, “What movie did she go for? The movie is absolutely appropriate and an excellent message film. Things people do just to be in the news.” On the other hand, Khatron Ke Khiladi 13 contestant Arjit Taneja stated, “It was not supposed to be a kid’s film. What is this rant?” A netizen took a very sharp dig at the Bigg Boss 5 winner and said, “Yk instead of posting a review based on 10-15 minutes of the movie, maybe try watching the entire thing and then form an opinion? Also in your entire post, you give no example of what was even inappropriate in the movie. The reason it's PG-13 is because Barbie is a functioning adult and the movie has themes deeper than a child could ever understand. The only reason you're pissed is because they showed Barbie as an actual woman and not just the perfect idea you've been feeding your kids. If you watched the entire thing (with or without your kid) you would have been able to write a more intellectual review than whatever this post is.”
