Not heart attack but poison the cause of Sonali Phogat's sudden demise? Sister suspects conspiracy

Actress-politician Sonali Phogat ’s demise came as a huge shock to netizens. She died of a heart attack in Goa at the age of 42. She was on a visit to Goa along with some of her staff members. However, now her sister who is on her way to the destination for the last rites has revealed shocking details behind her death.

Sonali Phogat’s sister has now claimed that she has been allegedly murdered with a big conspiracy on hand. According to a news report in India Today, the late actress-politician’s sister said to the media that her sister might have been poisoned. She added that the former Bigg Boss 14 contestant had called her up and complained of uneasiness after eating her food alleging that something suspicious must have been added to her food.

Not only this but she also revealed that Sonali Phogat had herself suspected that something was mixed in her food. However, the police authorities had differing opinions. The police authorities revealed that they haven’t found anything suspicious regarding Sonali’s demise.

Jaspal Singh, DGP of Goa said, “As of now we have found nothing suspicious, but only a post-mortem will sort things out." Sonali Phogat’s mortal remains have been kept in Bambolim’s Goa Medical College. The post-mortem will reportedly take place tomorrow (August 24) after the late actress’ family members arrive in Goa.

Earlier, Jivba Dalvi, the Deputy Superintendent of Police (Mapusa) had said that Sonali Phogat was already dead by the time she was brought to the hospital. Sonali Phogat dabbled in both politics and acting actively. She had made her acting debut with the show Amma.

Sonali was also appointed as the National Vice President of BJP's Mahila Morcha. The late politician is now survived by her teenage daughter. Her husband Sanjay Phogat also passed away in the year 2016.
