Rubina Dilaik was scared to go on dates after a bad relationship with an actor once: 'Jab dhakka lagta hai toh lagta hai'

Actress Rubina Dilaik has opened up about old relationship woes and how dating an actor had once left her ‘scarred’ and ‘scared’. The Bigg Boss 14 winner is happily married to actor Abhinav Shukla but reveals she was once scared of falling in love after having dated a certain actor.

Rubina has been a household name with successful shows like Choti Bahu, Shakti Astiva Ke Ahsaas Ki and more recently thanks to her Bigg Boss success. Talking to Sidharth Kannan in an interview she opened up about her the bad relationship and said that she was scared to the point that she refuse to go on dates after getting out that relationship.

She said in the interview, “Jab dhakka lagta hai toh lagta hai, ‘Ab bas, ab nahi chahiye. Ho gaya’ (When you receive a blow, you feel, ‘Enough, I don’t want to go through it again. I am done’). Believing in it was even more scary, I would say. I was scared. I could hardly muster the courage to even go out on dates. I said, ‘Nahi, baba, nahi chahiye (No, I don’t want this).’ I was definitely scarred and scared.”

The actress also admitted that it took her a year to get out of that phase once the relationship with the said actor was over.

Fans of Rubina Dilaik who have known her since the show Choti Bahu would know that she had dated a co-star from the show once. The actress however, didn’t go dropping names in her interview.

Rubina married ABhinav Shukla years later in 2018. The couple also entered Bigg Boss 14 together and revealed on the show how they were on verge of splitting up on the show but found themselves to be stronger together while living in the house. Rubina went on to lift the trophy as the winner of the season in 2021.
