    The day and date was 30 April 1999, when the silver screen witnessed a revolution of sorts in the form of Sarfarosh, a film that starred Aamir Khan and Sonali Bendre in the leading roles. On the occasion of the film completing 25 years of its release, the film’s makers had arranged a grand event which saw the film’s actors in attendance.

    Even after so many years of the film’s release, the film still remains evergreen in the memory of the cinegoers. The impact of the film has been so huge that many of the cinegoers were eagerly waiting to see the sequel of the film. Today, on the occasion of the film celebrating 25 years, superstar Aamir Khan aka ‘Mr. Perfectionist’ made an announcement which many were eagerly waiting for!

    We are indeed talking about the film’s sequel. While speaking about Sarfarosh 2, Aamir Khan said that, (at the moment), he could commit to one thing, that they would definitely give it a really serious shot now of coming up with the right script and the right kind of film for it. He added that John (the film’s director) would have to get to work here (in Bollywood). Echoing the sentiments of many, Aamir Khan said “Sarfarosh 2 banni chaiye(Sarfarosh 2 ought to be made) even I feel that."

    As for the sequel of the film Sarfarosh, a few months ago, there was also a point when it was being told that the film’s director John Matthew Matthan was working on the film’s sequel and that actor John Abraham would be playing the lead role. Eventually, John Abraham said that he was no longer working on the film’s sequel.

    Besides Aamir Khan and Sonali Bendre, the film stars Naseeruddin Shah, Mukesh Rishi, Akash Khurana and Smita Jaykar in important roles, amongst others. The film was directed by John Matthew Matthan, who also had produced the film.
