The globally famous writer Helen Keller (who rose to fame despite her deafness and blindness), once said, ‘The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision’. Well… this is what forms the crux of this week’s release Srinath, which stars the inimitable Rajkummar Rao. Here are five top reasons to watch the film, which is on its way to become an ‘inspirational anthem’ for everyone!

    Inspirational plot:
The very moment the film’s director Tushar Hiranandani announced the film ‘Srikanth’, he did make it very clear that the film is a biopic and has been inspired by the ‘inspirational life’ of Srikanth Bolla, the globally renowned Indian entrepreneur, who went onto gain prominence as the founder of Bollant Industries.

Who better than Rajkummar Rao to play the role of Srikanth Bolla. Those who have seen the film have made it a point to mention that, ‘looking at Rajkummar Rao in the film, one just cannot believe that this man is an actor and not a blind man!’.

    Rajkummar Rao
The flawless performance that Rajkummar Rao has given in the film, it’s extremely impossible to imagine any other actor doing that role. One look at the film’s trailer and the priceless expressions of Rajkummar Rao in it, one is convinced as to why he was the perfect and apt choice for the said role. Knowing the kind of preparations that Rajkummar Rao does, in order to get into the skin of the character, one is rest assured that he must have done the same even to portray the role of Srikanth Bolla.

    Film’s gripping trailer
After the film was announced, there was a film’s teaser which was released by the film’s makers. This teaser made the cinegoers want to see the film’s trailer. And when the film’s trailer was released, Rajkummar Rao simply blew the minds of the audiences with his outstanding performance.

    ‘Simply’ stunning direction
The film’s director Tushar Hiranandani, has to his credit of having directed Saand Ki Aankh (Taapsee Pannu) and followed it up with the extremely appreciated Scam 2003, which is considered to be a path breaking show. Film’s music
The very first time one heard about the music of Srikanth, almost everyone surrendered before it. The reason? Well... the film’s makers chose the evergreen track ‘Papa Kehte Hain’ to be the first track of the film to be released.

Even though the said track was originally picturised in Aamir Khan’s Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, the way it was interwoven in Srikanth’s narrative, it becomes a given that the film is going to be as wonderful as the film’s music. Besides this, the film’s makers also released other tracks including Jeena Sikha De and Tumhe Hi Apna Maana Hai amongst others.

As for the film, besides Rajkummar Rao, it also stars Jyothika, Alaya F and Sharad Kelkar in important roles. The film will be released in theatres on May 10, 2024.
