Jonathan Majors found guilty of assaulting former girlfriend, gets fired by Marvel ahead of the fiasco

    Jonathan Majors has been found guilty of assaulting his ex-girlfriend. He has been fired from the Marvel franchise from all their future projects.

    Actor Jonathan Majors has been found guilty of assaulting his former girlfriend after a trial in New York. The jury found Jonathan who is known for playing Kang in the Marvel films attacked his ex-girlfriend, British choreographer Grace Jabbari in an altercation in March. The victim had revealed to the court that she suffered excruciating pain along with a cut behind her ear, a fractured finger, and bruises.

    The 34-year-old actor will be facing a 1-year jail time following the same. According to a news report on BBC News, the Lovecraft Country actor has also been fired by Marvel Studios from all of his starring roles in the franchise. The six-person jury’s verdict was announced on Monday (December 18) after deliberations for three days.

    According to the reporters in court, Jonathan pursed his lips and looked down while the decision was given in court. A spokesperson of Marvel revealed that the studio will not be going forward with the actor with its further projects. Talking about the assault incident, the report stated that it took place when the Devotion actor was inside a car with his ex-girlfriend when the latter saw a message from a woman on Jonathan’s phone that said, “Wish I was kissing you right now."

    Jonathan then reportedly grabbed her arms and twisted them behind her back hitting her on the head to get back his phone which was snatched by her. Jabbari said, “I felt like a hard blow across my head.” The jury found the actor guilty of the two domestic violence charges out of the four that he had been charged with. Majors was also found guilty of assault by recklessly causing physical injury, as well as harassment. However, the jury did not convict him on charges of aggravated harassment and assault with intent to cause physical harm. Marvel has pushed the release of Avengers: The Kang Dynasty to 2026 wherein Jonathan was supposed to play the lead role.
