Amitabh Bachchan to feature in Anurag Kashap’s television series

The all time big screen star Amitabh Bachchan is geared up to work on small screens as well. Well, Big B has signed a mega-budget TV serial. The announcement to venture into TV series happened yesterday in a press conference.

The series will be directed by filmmaker Anurag Kashap and will be produced by Endemol, Saraswati Creations as well as by Big B himself. The project is believed to be the most expensive daily soap ever created in Indian television. The untitled serial will be aired on Sony TV.

The 70-year-old made his TV debut13 years ago withKaun Banega Crorepati. Amitabh has wrapped the shooting for Kaun Banega Crorepati season 6 and will commence shooting for the television show by next week. Recently, the actor has made his debut in Hollywood with The Great Gatsby, which was premiered in 66th Cannes film festival’s opening ceremony.
