Scheduled for release on May 17 through Mercury Records, the album will signify Malik's debut with the label, which boasts artists such as Noah Kahan, Post Malone, and Lily Rose. The singer will give fans a taste of the album with its lead single, "What I Am," scheduled for release on Friday, March 15th.

    Zayn Malik's Personal Insight

Last week, Malik gave fans a sneak peek of the project in a short video on Instagram. In the clip, he expressed, "I think the intention behind this album fully is for the listener to get more insight on me personally as a human being," He went on to mention that he wrote the entire album himself because he wanted his music to connect directly with the people listening, without any middlemen.

According to Rolling Stone last month, Zayn Malik's forthcoming album is co-produced by Dave Cobb, recognized for his contributions to country and rock music alongside artists such as Chris Stapleton, Brandi Carlile, and Lady Gaga.

The publication revealed that Malik dedicated several years to crafting the album independently at his Pennsylvania residence before reaching out to the Grammy-winning producer. Cobb noted that the singer has crafted a unique universe with this album, describing it as a raw expression straight from his soul.
