Jiah Khan commits suicide at Mumbai residence last night

A big sad day has arrived in Bollywood as it loses a talented youngster at a very early age with actress Jiah Khan. Reportedly, Jiah has committed suicide at her Juhu residence on Monday night by hanging herself, as it has been heard. Jiah shifted her base to Mumbai from England recently.

A close source revealed,"She had been depressed for some time due to personal issues, but was keen on returning to acting soon. She was also meeting filmmakers regarding projects.” Also named Nafisa Khan, she got a huge break in Bollywood as she debuted opposite none other than megastar Amitabh Bachchan in Nishabd. She was also seen with Aamir Khan in Ghajini and Akshay Kumar in Housefull.

According to police sources, the incident took place at around 11 at night, though no suicide note has been found.Her maid, watchman and neighbours have been interrogated to find out who were her last visitors.A postmortem will be done on her body at Cooper Hospital. A friend of Jiah, Tanuj Garg, associated with Balaji Telefilms, stated, "We knew each other socially and often discussed our London connection. She was a soft-spoken, sweet and a pleasant individual. Truly shocked at the news!"Big B too tweeted,"-WHAT ...!!! Jiah Khan ??? what has happened ? is this correct ? unbelievable !!!"A fortnight ago Jiah tweeted,"So sorry I have been off twitter! Took a bit of a break from twitter verse.. sometimes u need a sabbatical to recollect ur thoughts." May Jiah’s soul rest in peace.
