    Mike White roped in by DreamWorks for The Good Luck of Right Now adaptation

    It was mid-January when the journey began as DreamWorks acquired the feature rights to adapt Matthew Quick’s latest work,The Good Luck of Right Now. Now it’s official that it would kick off production work soon as filmmaker Mike White has been finalized for the project.

    The story is about a most unlikely family, which has grown from the pain and loss of four outsiders, who come together to form the interesting plot of the story. The book is scheduled to be published by HarperCollins in spring 2014. Quick’s 2008-novelThe Silver Linings Playbook, which was adapted by director David O. Russell, bagged Academy Award, Golden Globe Award and many more respected accolades worldwide.

    White has been celebrated as a co-creator, co-executive producer, writer and actor for HBO’sEnlightened, which recently completed a two-season run. He also directed 2007sYear of the Dog, which he scripted on his own.
