Christoph Waltz in for Stephen Gaghan’s Candy Store

Christoph Waltz, best known for his work in Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained has signed in for director Stephen Gaghan’s forthcoming venture Candy Store. The film is a crime thriller set in the Brooklyn underworld. Candy Store will be starring Robert De Niro and Jason Clarke in the lead.

The movie is about former covert ops agent Clarke who discovers a global organization he has been fighting all his career is now in his backyard. He later teams up with a former cop Robert De Niro so that he can safeguard the endangered city of New York from the threat. Christoph plays the role of a Cold War advisor to the leader for his familial discords who also poses as an American suburbanite.

The film will be distributed by Lionsgate and Good Universe all around and Stephen Gaghan along with Allison Shearmur will produce the flick. For more prescribed details about Candy Store, one has to wait with a bated breath.
