Action Jackson ends week 1 at 45 crores, new releases start on a dismal note

Ajay Devgn-Sonakshi Sinha starrer Action Jackson ended its first week run at 45.5 crores. The big budgeted action drama that had the making of being a huge money spinner couldn’t really live up to its name and succumbed to the poor reviews.

The film after having earned less than 30 crores on its opening weekend, added around 15 crores more. While the previous Ajay Devgn films have performed much better, Action Jackson not even being able to touch 50 crores comes as a disappointment. Some respite to the film may just be the fact that no big release comes up to put a challenge ahead it. All new releases today have been very dismal. As many as five new films released today but none has been able to leave a mark so far. The only hope for the box office is in form the tsunami coming next week in form of PK.
