Ajay Devgan to replace Salman Khan in Bigg Boss 8?

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is out from the Bigg Boss house for its eighth edition as the host and it’s confirmed now. More interestingly, the new host for the next season is none other than Bollywood’s Singham, Ajay Devgan.

Rumours were doing rounds that Barfi! star Ranbir Kapoor as well as Lootera hunk Ranveer Singh were approached for the role. But now the latest buzz reveals that Ajay, who is also a close friend of Salman, will be taking up the responsibility. Bigg Boss makers have been on a hunt for a new host since Salman refused to reprise his role in the next season of the controversial reality show. He was annoyed with the public response following the latest season of the show which termed him as unjust and partial towards a few participants in the house.

When Ajay was asked about what’s his take on being the host of Bigg Boss 8 he said, "I really don't know. I cannot comment on that - may be I will or may be not. I am not sure." He added, "Salman does it so well... he is watchable. I don't know if I can pull it off like Salman. I have not seen all the episodes, but a little bit here and there.” Ajay also talked about the equation between him and Salman as contemporary actors, "I don`t believe that rivals cannot be friends. All of us are friends, most of us at least. Salman, Sanjay Dutt, and me are very close. Earlier, we used to meet on each other`s sets. Now it`s become more professional, but we have a great rapport. Whenever we need each other, we stand for each other.”
