    Ajay Devgn continues to shoot despite illness

    Mumbai, March 24 -- The untitled Hindi remake of Drishyam had just hit the floors when the lead actor Ajay Devgn got down with high fever. But the real Singham continued to shoot for the movie despite his illness to ensure that the filming is completed as per the schedule. The 45-year-old actor arrived in Goa just a week ago.

    Ajay Devgn will be seen reprising the role of Georgekutty in the Hindi remake of much acclaimed Malayalam film Drishyam, which will hit the big screen on July 31. Earlier, Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar were being approached for the lead role. The Hindi remake will also feature Zila Ghaziabad star Shriya Saran, and Haidar and Maqbool actress Tabu.

    The flick is being produced by Kumar Mangath and Abhishek Pathak under the banner of Viacom 18 Motion Pictures. The Ajay Devgn starrer will be helmed by Mumbai Meri Jaan (2008) and Force (2011) director Nishikant Kamat.
