Ali Fazal roped in for Anand L. Rai’s ‘Happy Bhaag Jayegi’?

After basking success for Tanu Weds Manu returns, director Anand L. Rai is all set to make his production debut with ‘Happy Bhaag Jayegi’. As per the latest reports, the director is considering Ali Fazal for a prominent role in the film. Reportedly, the romantic-comedy film stars Diana Penty as female lead and Abhay Deol as male lead.

As of now, Rai has denied to give out details about the casting of the film. The flick is said to be a cross border romantic story, which will be based in Lahore and Amritsar. Also it is said that Rai wants to shoot the film in real locations and hence has already applied for permissions from Pakistan.

Talking of the film, earlier this year, Rai said, “This film was long overdue. While we were doing Raanjhanaa I kept telling Abhay that our journey together wasn't complete. He was fab in the film but it wasn't a full fledged role”. Anand L. Rai’s debut in production will be directed by Mudassar Aziz. The film will go on floors by the end of August.
