Another Box Office Clash – Ranbir Kapoor Vs Ajay Devgan

Movie clashes in Bollywood, especially on holiday dates are not very unfamiliar for us. The industry has witnessed quite such clashes in the past like Hrithik Roshan’s big budget Bang Bang vs Shahid Kapoor’s Haider which released on October 2 previous year and various others. The latest such clash seems to be between Karan Johar’s directorial venture Ae Dil Hai Mushkil starring Ranbir Kapoor and Ajay Devgan’s Shivaay on Diwali in 2016. 

KJo declared the release date of his film on a micro-blogging site saying, “My next directorial film #Aedilhaimushkil starring Ranbir,Anushka and Aishwariya will release Diwali 2016...@AeDilHaiMushkil @foxstarhindi”. Another upcoming festive clash would be Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees vs Salman Khan’s Sultan, which are expected to release on Eid next year. It is pretty obvious to anticipate fireworks at the box office.

Rumours are abuzz that Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is a remake of Doosra Aadmi (1977 film starring Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Singh and Rakhee). Johar’s project will feature Ranbir alongside Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anushka Sharma in the lead roles. It is expected to go on floors later this year in October after Junior Kapoor finishes with the schedule of Jagga Jasoos and Aish is over with Jazbaa.
