Big B-Shoojit Sircar Team Up Again: ‘Working with Shoojit Is Always A Pleasure’, Says Amitabh

After giving cinema one of the most wonderful stories of the time, Piku, Shoojit Sircar is all set to collaborate with Amitabh Bachchan once again for another film, which is said to be a social thriller. Big B is quite excited to be working with the filmmaker and has said that it is a pleasure to collaborate with his team. To be produced by Sircar, the film will have a “social message subtly weaved in an engaging story”.

National Award winning director Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury will helm the yet-to-be titled project. About their collaboration, the Piku actor said, “Working with Shoojit and his team is always a pleasure. When I heard this story, I was drawn to it immediately. It’s got a social message subtly weaved in an engaging story. Being a part of such important stories satisfies me”.

The Madras Cafe director, who has worked with Bachchan in several advertisements besides Piku, said, “Aniruddha’s story was so compelling that I wanted to make this film immediately. We also wanted to make it in Hindi. Like me, given a chance, he would make all his films with Bachchan. Naturally he took the script to him and is both honoured and exhilarated that he has agreed. For us, it’s a brilliant start already”.
