    It seems that Rajkummar Rao has become light of Hansal Mehta’s life. After casting him in critically acclaimed movies like Shahid, City Lights and Aligarh, the Dus Kahaniyaan director has again roped in his blue-eyed-boy to play Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose in an upcoming web series, to go live on ALTBalaji. Hansal said web series is just a strive to bring into light Bose’s story to current generation.

    About doing the web series, Rajkummar said, "I did my first film Love Sex Aur Dhokha with Ekta Kapoor's ALT Entertainment, and to do this new show for ALTBalaji is like coming back home.” Asked to talk about his role, the 32-year-old actor said: "This is why we need a show on Bose. Because if we were making one on (Mahatma) Gandhi, you wouldn't ask me this."

    "It will be a compelling and thrilling watch," Mehta said. He has also directed the National Award winning actor in the upcoming Omerta, where he will be essaying the role of terrorist Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh. He plays a British terrorist of Pakistani origin who is involved in the murder of a Wall Street Journal journalist Daniel Pearl.
