    Bollywood’s evergreenDream GirlHema Malini has been presented with the P. C. Chandra Award for her immense contribution to Indian cinema. The dancer-actress and the former Rajya Sabha member Hema has been conferred the award on Sunday by the managing director of P. C. Chandra group, Prashant Chandra at a glitzy event in the Science City auditorium, Kolkata.

    The actress was described as one of the best and successful actresses in the history of Indian cinema by Chandra. The actress, clad in a saree and a dazzling neckpiece, shared her joy saying the award is "more special to me as it has been given when Indian cinema is celebrating its centenary". Hema Malini has joined the league of other respected awardees like legendary singers Manna De and late Pandit Bhimsen Joshi, lyricist Gulzar, writer Mahasweta Devi and famous cricketer Sourav Ganguly.
