Heropanti - To Watch or Not to Watch

Heropanti is an old school love story. The guy falls for a girl not meant for him, the father of the girl is not happy or ready to accept this and there begins the Bollywood melodrama.

Bablu (Tiger Shroff) is a rebellious bold guy who is a friend to swear by. His friend falls in love with the elder daughter of a conservative Jat father who is also a rich goon - Chaudharyji (Prakash Raj). Bablu helps his friend to escape and marry the love of his life. When Prakash Raj finds out that his daughter is missing he gets hold of everyone who helped them escape. While Tiger is in captive he discovers that he has fallen for Kriti Sanon who is the younger daughter of Chaudharyji.

Disclaimer: The way Tiger Shroff repeats his dialogue ‘Sabko aati nahi, aur meri jaati nahi’ may irritate you a bit, and make you want to put his pretty face through a wall. Also, girls might want to ask him the exact shade of pink he has on his lips.

Actionpanti – sabko aati nahi, Tiger ki jaati nahi

Tiger Shroff may have disappointed us with his dialogue delivery, but he has got some pretty awesome action scenes in the movie, which compensate for his kareena-ish looks. He carries his six pack ab-ed body with a lot of flexibility, and doesn’t look like a rigid muscle macho. Even though, his acting could have been a little better, in all fairness, he tried to give it a good shot. With better hair styling and make-up Tiger Shroff has the potential to offer us much more than he did in Heropanti. There is latent potential in him.

    Tiger’s Tigress

Kriti Sanon’s costumes were pretty but not realistic for playing a Jatt girl from a conservative family. Easy on the face, she doesn’t dishearten the audience. As the movie is Heropanti and is a more Tiger – centric film, Kriti Sanon does not have much to offer than being the heroine of her hero. However, she does manage to carry that well.

    Gaano pe Whistle baji?

The songs of the movie are good. Even the background tune from Jackie Shroff’s Hero, which is carried out in the movie, MAY get stuck in your head. The movie is not over loaded with songs. Tere Bina, Whistle Baja and Raat Bhar are already a hit. Some of the songs have been captured very picturesquely like the Rabba song! The music track has a good blend of soothing and catchy numbers.

    Villianpanti

Prakash Raj was good, but not as fantastic as he was in Singham. Even though he manages to play a conservative Jat father who dotes on his daughters, he doesn’t fit in the role perfectly. For one, he never really uses authentic Haryanvi much. However, being the performer he is, he definitely entertains and does not upset his fans. In fact, if not for Tiger Shroff or Kriti Sanon, he can be one of your reasons to catch the movie.

    Heropanti’s Fate

The movie does deliver a good message, but it is full of Bollywood Cliches. There were times when I could word Tiger’s dialougues even before he spoke them! You can guess what to expect in the next scene. The movie will not bore you and Tiger Shroff may even grow on you. You will definitely have a few laughs. The movie oscillates between being a mindless hero-centric commercial flick and a movie with a script. It brings a bit of both to the table. The movie will click with the masses.
