    Ileana D'Cruz Opens Up About Her Quite Long Hiatus From Silver Screen

    Actress Ileana D'Cruz made her debut in Hindi cinema with Anurag Basu's critically and commercially successful flick Barfi!. One of the highest paid actresses of Southern film industry, the star found a place in several Bollywood fans' hearts with her sharp features, dreamy eyes and a balanced performance. The gorgeous lady was last seen in a romantic comedy, Happy Ending (2014), and is now set to make a comeback as the female lead in Akshay Kumar starrer Rustom.

    Revealing the reason behind the long break from acting, the Main Tera Hero actress stated that it was not a conscious decision to stay away from showbiz. The 28-year-old star revealed that she was not happy with the projects that were being offered. “I know it is a cliched answer, but I didn't like anything that was coming my way”, D'Cruz said.

    "I rather not do anything than do something half heartedly... It was not a conscious decision to stay away (from the big screen) for that much amount of time. I am okay with doing commercial movies and playing a role where I am a bimbette on screen, it's fun doing it... But after a point and after doing certain amount of films, I wanted to do something that makes me feel good at the end of the day”, added the Phata Poster Nikhla Hero actress.

    Talking about her upcoming, D'Cruz earlier stated, “Rustom is a very intense movie. It’s vintage no doubt…I hope people walk in and get immersed in the story. I am quite proud of (doing) this movie”. Directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, the movie is scheduled for release on August 12.
