Is John starring in the Aankhen sequel?

John Abraham is reportedly in talks to be roped in for the Aankhen sequel that starred Big B, Akshay Kumar, Arjun Rampal and Paresh Rawal in the lead. The question more importantly here to be answered is ‘Is Aankhen sequel really happening?’

After enough speculations it is almost certain that Anees Bazmee is supposed to be directing the sequel to this thriller who reportedly wants John Abraham in the movie. However no official confirmation or report has been made regarding the issue. Anees is currently scripting the film and is completely tight lipped to reveal any detail about it. He will reportedly also approach Mr. Bachchan to reprise his character. Anees who is also working on Welcome Back, the sequel to 2007 hit Welcome has John playing the lead in the movie there as well, therefore his being on director’s radar is pretty much possible. The 2002 Aankhen was directed by Vipul Shah and also starred Sushmita Sen in a prominent role. The unusual bank robbery thriller was just a moderate success but was later appreciated by a huge number of audiences. Let’s wait to watch how things are shaping up for the sequel. Be it with John or with anyone else, one thing is for sure, people would welcome it with their arms and aankhen open.
