Lloyd Baptista To Decide Between Alia Bhatt And Parineeti Chopra For ‘Sadma’ Remake?

Ad filmmaker Lloyd Baptista is all set to make his directorial debut in Bollywood with the remake of the 1983 classic blockbuster ‘Sadma’, which was helmed by Balu Mahendra and starred Sridevi and Kamal Hassan in the lead roles. Ever since the remake was announced, cine buffs have been waiting for updates about its star cast. Well, recent development about the flick’s leading lady might interest all the excited fans as speculations are rife that the remake would star either of Bollywood’s sweetheart Alia Bhatt or bombshell Parineeti Chopra as the female lead.

Earlier, the choice for the leading lady was reportedly to be made between Kareena Kapoor Khan and Shraddha Kapoor. However, a source recently told Spotboye, “Lloyd is in India for a few days to finalise the cast of Sadma remake and the biopic of entrepreneur Kalpana Saroj. He will do the screen tests for both Alia and Parineeti before taking a call”.

Let’s wait to see who of Alia and Parineeti gets lucky to play Sridevi’s part in the remake. The choice seems tough as both the desirable beauties are commendable in their own way. On a related note, Alia will soon be seen in Gauri Shinde’s ‘Dear Zindagi’ starring Shah Rukh Khan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Ali Zafar, Kunal Kapoor and Angad Bedi. Parineeti is currently occupied with the shooting of ‘Meri Pyaari Bindu’ and will be sharing screen space with Ayushmann Khurrana for the first time in the movie.
