Actor Mandana Karimi, who was recently in news after she filled a domestic violence case recently against her husband Gaurav Gupta and her in-laws, has now withdrawn her complaint. The ex-Bigg Boss contestant had alleged in July that she had an argument with Gaurav, after which, she went to her friend’s place to calm herself down. “When I returned, they wouldn’t let me enter and have stopped communicating with me,” she had said earlier this month. However, she now has decided to forgive and move ahead.

After withdrawing the case, Mandana tells us, “I should still be on the honeymoon phase of my marriage, after all, it’s only been under five months since the happiest day of my life, but let’s just call it the turning point.”

She adds that she has had a really tough time ever since she tied the knot. “Much has happened... events that I would not wish upon my worst enemy, yet all I can say is that I have only come out stronger of it,” she adds.

In a statement made to the court, Mandana mentioned: “I am not doing this to clarify my position or justify certain steps I was compelled to take to protect myself. I never intended to, in the past, nor at any point in the future, get into my union with Gaurav for monetary gains.”

Accusing her husband of suspecting her motives, Mandana says, “That a man I intended to spend the rest of my life with and start a family with would stoop so low as to stand against me.. is devastating for me to fathom.”

“I am an able and independent woman, I will not allow my dignity to be diminished for purposes that are beneath me”, she concludes.
