The news is now official, Salman Khan signs Karan Johar’s Shuddhi!

What comes as a major surprise to us and the industry is Salman Khan has officially confirmed to do Karan Johar’s Shuddhi, a project that had been held in the pipeline for ages. Based on the best selling Shiva Trilogy by Amish Tripathi, Shuddhi will be directed by Agneepath fame director Karan Malhotra.

Salman in a recent interview said that he’s doing Shuddhi and it is confirmed. The film that initially had Hrithik Roshan in the lead faced many obstacles till date. The actor walked out of the project citing dates issue following a brain surgery that he went through. He had to accommodate all his dates to Bang Bang. The leading lady Kareena Kapoor quit the project with so much of uncertainty and delay. No other actor could be brought on board for his hugely scaled project and the delay had been growing. Salman who has grown very fond of Karan Johar lately kept urging him to do a film with him and with Shuddhi being a vacant prospect, nothing could have fallen into place better. Confirming the news Salman said “Yes, I am doing Karan Johar's film called Shuddhi which I would probably start in a while. After Kick, I am going to finish shooting for Sooraj Barjatya's film. Then I have Kabir Khan's film and Boney Kapoor's No Entry Mein Entry. Following that I also have Aditya Chopra's Sultan and a film with Mahesh Manjrekar.” Though it is officially confirmed but one can’t help except wonder when the film would kick off since all future dates of the actor have already been taken. Well the least we could do here is to have patience and hope the project formulates with Bhai if not our Krrish. Meanwhile Salman’s Kick releases on July 25th that is expected to fetch a huge opening. Let’s keep track of everything and hope we get to watch more of Salman Khan in the near future.
