Have You Heard 'Oh Dilpreeto', The Punjabi Parody Of Despacito?

The latest Punjabi cover of the worldwide hit Despacito proves how desi versions are way too cool. Called Oh Dilpreeto, the parody gives the hit song by Peurto Rican singers a hilarious Punjabi twist.

The parody shows two young men trying to impress a girl, singing, “Oh Dilpreeto, tune mera dil hai to ye jeeto, tere leyin gaunga mai to geeto, tu meri ho jaa sweeto, ohhh Dilpreeto!”

When the girl refuses to give in to their wooing, one of them comes up with an idea. He flaunts his Punjabi swag and breaks into a Bhangra dance. “Bale… Bale…. Bale.. Kudiye… Mil gaye saath to karenge bhangra, banda change ho ga na hoga koi jhagada, mei tera lover, tu mera meeto, Oh Dilpreeto!”

Since being published on July 20 by Old Delhi Films, the video has racked up more than 3 lakh views on YouTube alone.

Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee’s Latin song “Despacito” recently smashed all records, with a total of 4.6 billion streams. It became the longest running foreign language song at the number one spot in the UK singles charts.
