    Om Puri has returned to act in Ghayal Once Again, the sequel of 1990 hit Ghayal. The film was Rajkumar Santoshi's directorial debut and Om Puri essayed the role of ACP Joe D'Souza in it. Puri and Synny Deol are the only actors returning for the sequel.

    The 64-year-old actor who is busy with the filming of the sequel, told Mumbai Mirror, "We've been talking for six months and last month finalised the dates. It's just a cameo. One more day, a couple of hours, and that's the end of my role". Remembering the original film, Puri said, "I remember one scene from Ghayal which came towards the end of the film where Joe tells Ajay that he wishes he could take off his uniform and join hands with him. It was a beautifully written scene and the lines, I'm told, got a lot of claps".

    "Ghayal was a very successful film and Sunny's taking a lot of pains to ensure that Ghayal Once More works as well”, he added. The movie is slated for release on November 13. The action film has been produced by Dharmendra and directed by Sunny Deol. Ghayal Once Again is the continuation of the original film, which is based upon the real life events of a Mumbai Police encounter specialist.
