People Refused to Work with Me While I was ill: Kader Khan

From negative characters to comedy to character roles, Kader Khan has proved his mettle as an actor in different genres in his career spanning over 4 decades. The writer-actor took a long break from the industry due to his ill health, especially knee problems. The veteran actor recently revealed that he never wanted to keep away, but people refused to work with him during that period.

“Some people refused to keep me with them. I was a little unwell. And people refused to take me back into their films”, said the actor, who was last seen in Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha starrer Tevar. “It is only Fauzia who took good care of me, kept on motivating me. There was freedom from Fauzia right from the first meeting. She is an outstanding director”, he added.

Kader further said, “I am writing a couple of scripts. I will try to bring quality back in the language used in films. I want to remake Shama (1981). It is in the scripting stage at the moment”. The actor will be next seen in Welcome Back, Nikhil Advani’s Hero and Hera Pheri 3, reportedly.
