Prem Ratan Dhan Payo Crosses Rs. 200 Crore Mark

Like it was expected from a Salman Khan starrer film, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo has easily climbed to Rs. 200 crore mark at box office in just 14 days. The Sonam Kapoor starrer film had released on November 12, one day after Diwali. The Sooraj Barjatya directorial hasn’t received any competition from any other big release during this time.

After having played diverse roles such as ‘Chulbul Pandey’, ‘Devil’ and other action packed roles, Salman Khan had returned to his iconic role ‘Prem’ in the flick. The film was his collaboration with Sooraj Barjatya almost after 16 years. Although the flick wasn’t much applauded by the critics but all these reasons were able to attract enough footfalls to the theatres.

As per Fox Star Studios, PRDP has become the second film to earn the amount in a fortnight. Besides Salman and Sonam, the flick also starred Neil Nitin Mukesh, Swara Bhaskar, Anupam Kher, Armaan Kohli and Deepak Dobriyal. Now that Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone starrer Tamasha is releasing this weekend, PDRP’s business is expected to be hampered.
