Rajkumar Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra will come together to launch writer Abhijat Joshi’s daughter’s poetry book

Rajkumar Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra have delivered multiple hits together, including Lage Raho Munna Bhai (2006), 3 Idiots (2009) and PK (2014). And their partner in these successful projects has been scriptwriter Abhijat Joshi. Now, Hirani and Chopra are coming together to support Abhijat’s 18-year-old daughter, Anushka, by releasing her book at an event today (April 28).

“Both of them have already read the book, which is a compilation of poems penned by Anushka. The themes of the poems range from life in the Pompeii Civilisation and wondrous moments of scientific discovery to the resilience of war victims,”says a source. At the event, the film-makers will share their thoughts on the poems from the book. 

“They might also read out a few of them,” adds the source. When contacted, Hirani was all praise for the young poet, and said, “I have read her poems and they are among the best in the world. She writes extremely well.” On the other hand, Chopra said that there is “maturity” in Anushka’s writing. “We are always happy to support excellence,” he adds.
