Ram Gopal Varma receives death threats, police protection provided

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has been reportedly getting death threats from an anonymous person. The director told police about this and now protection has been given to him. RGV informed, “On the basis of an intercepted conversation, the Mumbai police gave me security for various reasons. I cannot divulge the content of the threat. For some important reasons, I cannot comment on whether or not this threat to me is related to the content of Satya 2.”

The 51-year-old moviemaker is all set to release his next outing, Satya 2 on November 8. The flick is based on the underworld. Ram is not really sure that whether he is getting threats because of his upcoming film or not. Vishwas Nagare Patil, Additional Police Commissioner quoted, “I would not be displaying professionalism if I talk about somebody receiving a threat. I would not like to comment anything on the matter.”
