Salman Khan is the highest tax payer this year from Bollywood

If reports are to be believed then Bollywood heartthrob Salman Khan is this year’s highest tax payer from the film industry by paying a whopping Rs. 8 crore of advance tax for the July-September quarter. Thanks to the back to back five blockbusters --Wanted,Dabangg,Bodyguard,ReadyandEk Tha Tiger-- four of which successfully made to the 100 crore club, Salman’s fortunes have spiked manifold.

According to reports, last year for the same period, the actor had paid Rs. 5 crore. Among the actresses also, Salman’s ex-flame Katrina Kaif emerged as the highest tax payer actress with paying a tax of Rs. 2.60 crore. So both Salman and Katrina are among the top earners in Bollywood this year and theirEk Tha Tigerhas garnered around Rs. 200 crore so far.
